WGACA Williamsburg

Today is the official opening of our Williamsburg location and Sample Sale! Last night we kicked off the event with our launch party, hosted by vintage aficionad-ess and actress, Shenae Grimes. People got some serious shopping done and we definitely snuck in some fun here and there as well. Stop by this weekend for some ridiculous deals, vintage galore, and water views!

Nudie Cohn: Rhinestone Cowboy Legend

Nudie suits have been worn by just about everyone who is anyone in the world of Country/Rock music. The larger-than-life 5-foot-7 Russian Rhinestone Cowboy is the most influential and innovative fashion designers and tailors to ever bless the world of Country music. Among his most famous creations was Elvis Presley’s $10,000 gold lamé suit. It was featured on the cover of Elvis’ record “50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong.” Other notable fans include John Wayne, Gene Autry, Elton John, Ronald Reagan, ZZ Top, and of course Gram Parsons, just to name a few big hitters. This man was a true legend and to this day his legacy is still known all over the U.S.A from the beaches of florida to the psychedelic cactus in the desert. Nudie’s work is highly collectable and appreciated by many vintage and country rock fans alike. LONG LIVE NUDIE!. (December 15, 1902 – May 9, 1984)

Inspiration: JPG Signature Stripes

Jean Paul Gaultier has stuck to his signature striped look for as long as we can remember and for good reason; Sailor stripes are an easy classic. The nostalgia of warm weather, ocean breeze, and the luxury and simplicity of a nautical lifestyle runs deep. Although you may not be able to hop on the yacht this afternoon, they translate just as well when riding your bicycle around town, brunching with friends, or strolling the Highline.

Available in our Soho and LA locations. $150-$225

Also, if you’re in the SanFran area be sure to check out the Gaultier exhibit at the de Young museum.
