Gold & Faux Pearl Gripoix Necklace Long

In stock

Spring 2006 Chanel long layer necklace crafted in gold-tone metal with faux pearl and Gripoix glass beading, featuring 'CC' logos and four leaf clover pendants throughout.

About Gripoix Glass: First produced by Parisian glass-maker Augustina Gripoix in the late 1800s, the eponymous jewelry style was created by pouring glass into shapes and colors meant to imitate the look of authentic pearls and crystals. Coco Chanel later made this poured glass iconic by replicating Byzantine-style jewelry using the Gripoix glass. Chanel Gripoix jewelry has since become covetable and collectible to followers of the house, as the original vintage pieces become increasingly harder to find.
