WGACA WORLDWIDE: Need A Break? Head to Australia

From wineries to winding coastlines, there is so much to explore in the laid-back land down under. Melanie Ritchie, our marketing manager, takes us on a tour of her favorite cities.

“The Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine region. It's a two-hour drive from Sydney and known for varietals such as Semillon and Shiraz. I visit the Hunter Valley every time I go home as my mother works in the region. I'm drawn to the open landscapes, gorgeous farms and vineyards, but most importantly, the wine!” These pictures were taken at McGuigan Cellar Door, located in the heart of the Hunter Valley. My good friend's family owns McGuigan Wines so I always make an effort to stop in!

“It’s a quiet beachside city with a flourishing independent arts, music and fashion scene. It's one of the most special places for me to visit in Australia, because it’s the city I grew up in.”

“Sydney is an absolute must visit not only for its dramatic harbor, iconic landmarks and beautiful beaches, but for its incredible food scene.”
