Rihanna To Co-Host The 2018 Met Gala

RIHANNA WEARS A CHANEL BLACK LEATHER & GOLD CHAIN LINK BOTTLE HOLDER FROM WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

Don’t have tickets to the Met Gala? Neither do we. However, we love a theme and the 2018 Met Gala’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” is no exception. According to Vogue, the theme is “designed to create a dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art in the museum’s holdings.” The yearly event previews the exhibition that will be on display for the general public May 10th through October 8th. According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the exhibit will include more than 150 pieces from more than 50 designers including ecclesiastical designs from Chanel, Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana.

This year, Rihanna is a host of the exclusive $30,000-a-ticket charity gala as well as Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace – who is also a sponsor and lending works to the museum’s exhibition. The New York City charity event is always a fair of fashion’s imagination. We’re anticipating Like A Prayer vibes, but we expect the real reveal will come with the queen of the Met Ball red carpet. What will Rihanna wear? Remember this Guo Pei fur-trimmed number from the 2015 Met Gala and this Comme des Garçons look from last year? We thought so. Will she shut down the red carpet again and send the internet into a meme frenzy with her sartorial picks? Probably.
