A rare and highly collectible find from Hermès, this coveted Birkin is from the house's Candy series and features a Kiwi green exterior rendered in Epsom leather, an Olive green leather interior, white contrast stitching and Palladium-plated hardware. This limited edition series was the breakout release of creative director Christophe Lemaire after Jean Paul Gaultier's departure in 2010, and is incredibly sought after to this day. Epsom leather is the most lightweight and easy to clean of all Hermès leathers. It is embossed for a consistent grain and increased durability that will hold shape and does not scratch easily. Includes lock, two keys, and clochette.
About the Birkin: When Hermes' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight he had no idea he was about to create history. When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekender, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs, and in 1984 we were introduced to the Birkin, which would quickly become the most coveted bag in history thanks (in part) to the 48 hours it takes to hand-assemble this exquisite piece as well as the extensive wait list you'll need to join to purchase one from stores.
