Epsom leather is the most lightweight and easy to clean of all Hermès leathers, it is embossed for a consistent grain and increased durability that will hold shape and does not scratch easily. Includes lock, two keys, clochette and canvas dust bag.
About the Birkin: When Hermes' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight he had no idea he was about to create history. When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekender, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs, and in 1984 we were introduced to the Birkin, which would quickly become the most coveted bag in history thanks (in part) to the 48 hours it takes to hand-assemble this exquisite piece as well as the extensive wait list you'll need to join to purchase one from stores.
