The silk scarf is a staple for any Hermès aficionado to have in their collection. Crafted from 100% silk twill, measuring at 90 x 90 cm, it features hand-rolled edges and a screen-printed motif designed by a selected artist drawing inspiration from Hermès' rich history.
Designed by Henri d'Origny, the original 'Grand Manege' motif was originally released in 1990. This motif is known as the 'Grand Manege Detail' which is a close-up version of the original design. Monsieur d'Origny's design was inspired by the Cadre Noir de Saumur (Riding School) and their presentation at the Grand Manège, where the horses and riders are adorned in ceremonial costumes and equipment. The motif showcases stirrups and bits, fabric rosettes, leather straps, and buckles - all intertwined together showing all that goes into this fascinating, enchanting world.
