Debuted on Chanel's Spring/Summer 2015 runway with a shacket in the same textured finish, and then once more with a head-to-toe reimagination of the très printanier textile, this Classic Double Flap iteration comes crafted with a tweed exterior that's delicately embroidered with petal-reminiscent appliqués. It's embellished with the maison's antiqued silver-tone 'CC' turn-lock closure on the flap, which opens to reveal a white leather interior with ample space for your belongings. It'll fare exceptionally well in warmer temperatures when flowers begin their bloom.
About the Classic Flap: Few bags can claim that they have grown in popularity (and value) since 1955 -- and the Classic Flap is one of them. Originally launched as the "2.55", the bag featured a rectangular turn-lock closure and a long chain-strap, as Coco Chanel was tired of carrying her purse in her hands. Thanks to the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld, the bag was updated to the Classic Flap we know, love, and recognize and featured the new logo 'CC' closure instead.
