"A beautiful dress may look beautiful on a hanger, but that means nothing. It must be seen on the shoulders, with the movement of the arms, the legs, and the waist."
Coco Chanel
This detailed scarf was originally issued in 1999 and has since become quite the collector's piece. The silk scarf depicts "World Tree" (also known as the "Cosmic Tree" or "Center of the World") that connects all planes and seasons. The tree appears across multiple religions and mythologies, especially Norse cosmology.

About Hermès Scarves: Aside from featuring uniquely beautiful prints and patterns, the craftsmanship going into the creation of each scarf is an art in and of itself. It can take up to 750 hours to hand-engrave the intricate screens used for printing and because every color gets its own screen it can take up to six months to silk-screen a single scarf. The minimum number of colors an Hermès carré can have is five with most scarves having an average of 27. Hermès works with a collective of artists that each bring their individual style to life in every print they design.
