"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."
Coco Chanel
Classic red 'Rouge Garance' Courchevel leather structured Kelly with gold tone hardware. Courchevel leather is now retired by Hermès but was the predecessor to Epsom leather; like Epsom, Courchevel leather has an embossed even grain and is lightweight and easy to clean. Includes lock, two keys, and clochette

About the Kelly: First designed in 1932, the Kelly was introduced as a travel bag that was referred to as the sac à dépêches. It was then renamed to the Kelly after actress Grace Kelly was photographed numerous times with the bag (most notably, while she was pregnant and using it to cover her baby bump). The impeccable craftsmanship, classic silhouette, scarcity, and unique history make the Kelly a must-have for any handbag collector. The two styles of Kelly are the Sellier (or Rigide) and Retourne (or Souple). The Sellier has a more structured, rigid shape with distinct corners and visible exterior stitching, while the Retourne has a more relaxed, softer shape that has rounded edges as though the bag were turned inside out. It can take a single Hermès craftsman up to 18 hours to construct each Kelly.
