EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER "Works" Tour Tee '78
- The "Works" tour kicked off to support the two "Works" albums where some shows featured hand-picked symphony orchestra and choir, with the tour culminating in a grand finale show at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada.
- [EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER] With symphonic rock, jazz, classical music, and Iron Maiden listed as influences, is it any surprise that supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer became one of the most successful rock groups of the '70s? The group quickly found their fan base after debuting their unique sound at the Isle of Wright Festival in 1970. To quote Greg Lake, "It was the biggest show any of us had ever done. The next day, we were world-famous." And so they were -- they went on to sell nearly 50 million albums over the course of their career.
