First designed in 1932, the Kelly was introduced as a travel bag known as the sac à dépêches. It was then renamed the Kelly after actress Grace Kelly, who was photographed numerous times with the bag (most notably while she was pregnant, using it to cover her baby bump). The impeccable craftsmanship, classic silhouette, scarcity, and unique history make the Kelly a must-have for any handbag collector. The two styles of Kelly are the Sellier (or Rigid) and Retourne (or Souple). This authentic pre-owned Blue Atoll Kelly Sellier is rendered in Epsom leather and accented with Palladium-plated hardware. Epsom leather is the most lightweight and easiest to clean of all Hermès leathers. It is embossed for a consistent grain and increased durability that will hold its shape and does not scratch easily. Includes lock, two keys, and a clochette.
