When we think of autumn it's easy for our minds to turn toward reorganizing our closets for the drop in temperatures. We start to think about the weight and warmth of our clothes. We pull forward our layering pieces and prepare for when sweater weather turns to leather weather. The color palette is often an afterthought. Our favorite fall pieces are in black, brown, grey, or tan. This is fall – darker hues and cozy knits.

The Fall 2018 runway shows alluded to the need to go green now more than ever. Chanel, Fendi, and Givenchy reintroduced the color back into the fashion lexicon this season. Green had become synonymous with hunting. It was often used in military-inspired collections and embedded in camouflage prints. Our favorite fashion houses reimagined the hue in chicer silhouettes. Chanel presented lush green shearling totes during its show while Fendi reminded us that a green Fendi Peekaboo could be both utilitarian and chic. Meanwhile, Givenchy had us envious of a green leather coat that could be the color pop we've been waiting for. The perfectly saturated and subdued hue is the perfect companion to the season's most popular colorway. It is about time that you went green too.
