First designed in 1932, the Kelly was introduced as a travel bag, referred to as the sac à dépêches. It was then renamed the Kelly after actress Grace Kelly was photographed numerous times with the bag (most notably while she was pregnant, using it to cover her baby bump). The impeccable craftsmanship, classic silhouette, scarcity, and unique history make the Kelly a must-have for any handbag collector. The two styles of Kelly are the Sellier (or Rigide) and Retourne (or Souple). It can take a single Hermès craftsman up to 18 hours to construct each Kelly. This classic pre-owned authentic Kelly Retourne 28 is crafted from Blue Pale Togo leather and accented with gold-plated hardware. Togo leather is a thick, durable calfskin with a medium grain known for its resilience to scratches and ability to be repaired easily. Includes lock, two keys and clochette.
