About the Monogram Vernis: A leather that was made to shine, the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis leather was created during Marc Jacobs reign as creative director and is made out of calfskin leather, embossed with classic Monogram print, and finished with a glossy varnish, hence the name Vernis. Although the Vernis leather is water resistant, it is also sensitive to light, may color transfer, and can scratch easily.
