Céline was originally started by its namesake, Céline Vipiana and her husband in 1945, as a made-to-order children's shoes business. Their popularity grew and they soon began making women's bags and shoes. In 1973, the official logo became the linked C, as a nod to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. This authentic Céline tote crafted in brown coated canvas featuring the classic Macadam pattern throughout with light brown leather trim and finished with gold-tone hardware.
