When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekend, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs. In 1984, we were introduced to the Birkin, which would quickly become the most coveted bag in history, thanks (in part) to the 48 hours it takes to hand-assemble this exquisite piece, as well as the extensive waitlist you'll need to join to purchase one from stores. This authentic Deep Blue Birkin is rendered in Togo leather accented with gold-plated hardware. Togo leather is a durable calfskin with a medium grain known for its resilience to scratches and ability to be repaired easily. Includes lock, two keys, and a clochette.
