What Goes Around Comes Around and The Devil Wears Prada? Groundbreaking.

On April 17th, What Goes Around Comes Around (WGACA) was tasked to create a total immersive experience, as part of the NYC press junket for The Devil Wears Prada 2 (in theaters May 1st), recreating the world of Runway Magazine.

The vision was simple: bring the Runway Office, the main setting of the film, to life, wherein journalists, press, and talent stepped into the corporate world of Runway Magazine.

As media, interviewers, contributors, and influencers entered the junket, they were immediately immersed in the Runway Office environment, greeted first at the reception desk, which served as the press check-in location. Guests were given a guided tour through the space by “interns” before having the opportunity to interview top talent from the film.

WGACA was presented with this opportunity thanks to New York stylist Liz Teich (@ thenewyorkstylist), who recommended WGACA to be the ready-to-wear and accessories partner for the Runway Office Fashion Closet, as well as PASES Production Company, whose main goal is to present hands-on activations and events. Top billed cast members, including Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, and Emmy Award winning costume designer Molly Rogers, were in attendance and interviewed in front of the iconic pieces sourced by WGACA.

This rare behind-the-scenes moment allowed guests to try on the iconic vintage designer pieces and walk the runway, creating a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity, set against a backdrop every fashion lover could only dream of.

Taking the opportunity to showcase only the finest pieces in our collection, guests had the chance to view iconic vintage Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore bags and accessories, pre-loved Chanel Gripoix jewelry, and an array of Dior silhouettes, from Saddle to Lady Dior bags.

Alongside the iconic bags and accessories, guests could peruse iconic ready-to-wear fashion pieces, brought by Disney, straight from their archive, namely an iconic “if you know, you know” moment, featuring a cerulean sweater. Fans of the film know better than to call it blue.

WGACA would like to thank Wendy Moodie, Pheonix Catao, and Liz Teich and the team from PASES Production Company and Disney who made this opportunity possible. Having been a New York City mainstay for over 30 years, WGACA is proud to participate in yet another iconic fashion moment in the city.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is in theaters May 1st, and by all means, do not move at a glacial pace to see it.
