Fashion month is officially over. Much like previous runway shows in New York, London, and Milan, there are some statement pieces that will have appeal across multiple countries such as long blazers, buttoned-up shirts, and flowy dresses. After some much anticipated and disappointing Paris Fashion Week Spring 2019 shows, we found a very similar anti-athleisure trend was sweeping the Paris runways. Spring will bring the resurgence of ultra-feminine touches including pleats, rosettes and ruffles.

There were some looks we absolutely loved. The Miu Miu show mimicked the Marc Jacobs show with its over-the-top rosettes. Y/Project extended the transparency trend into Spring with skirts constructed of layers of multicolored gathered sheer fabric in the fluorescent color palette that will dominate the season. Valentino and Givenchy both reimagined day to evening dressing with fluid pleated skirts and dresses. The more demure of the upcoming trend was seen on the Louis Vuitton runway. Little ruffle details were seen on sweaters under tougher moto-inspired pieces. Our favorite look was Loewe’s black leather version of a peasant dress with gathered embroidered sleeves.
