Luxe Materials & Motifs: Gucci in Bloom

Gucci has a long and storied history with floral patterns and the earliest dates back to 1966 when set designer Vittorio Accornero introduced the Gucci Flora motif in the form of a scarf. The whimsical pattern featured a mixture of flora and fauna and is one of Gucci’s most memorable patterns. Since the introduction of this design, Gucci has seen the creation of different floral-inspired patterns such as Blooms and Tian. The iconic Blooms print was first shown throughout the Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Show collection and has continued on to become a mainstay Gucci print. Gucci's Tian print features a variety of flora and fauna inspired by the traditional motifs found on 18th-century Chinese tapestries and screen prints.
