What originated as the "Turn-O-Graph" watch from the iconic Datejust collection was nicknamed the "Thunderbird" in 1953 after the US Air Force Thunderbirds Squadron requested the watches due to the beneficial rotating timing bezel.
The Turn-O-Graph, or Thunderbird, features automatic movement, stainless steel 36mm Oyster case with a bi-directional rotating stainless steel graduated bezel and scratch-resistant genuine sapphire crystal, a Rhodium dial with white tipped baton hour markers and a magnified Cyclops date window, finished with a stainless steel Oyster bracelet and deployment clasp. Includes papers and branded box. Serial number A19xxxx.
