Incredibly rare and collectible Birkin 25cm crafted in Gris Asphalt Novillo leather, accented with gold-plated hardware. Novillo leather is produced in limited quantities and touted as one of Hermès' smoothest leathers. Like its popular counterparts Togo and Epsom, this rich yet lightweight Novillo leather has a fine natural grain that makes it scratch-resistant and durable. Includes lock, two keys, and clochette.
About the Birkin: When Hermes' own Jean-Louis Dumas sat down next to Jane Birkin on a flight he had no idea he was about to create history. When Jane Birkin discussed her need for a sizeable (yet chic) weekender, Dumas immediately got to work designing the perfect bag for her needs, and in 1984 we were introduced to the Birkin, which would quickly become the most coveted bag in history thanks (in part) to the 48 hours it takes to hand-assemble this exquisite piece as well as the extensive wait list you'll need to join to purchase one from stores.
