Denvre moved to New York City from Oklahoma four years ago. “It feels like everyone is a songwriter, a singer, or a model here,” she said. It’s taken a while to find the right synergy to create her first single, she said. Denvre recently released “Wait It Out.” The song was inspired by her boyfriend now husband but also seems to explain her creative process. “It’s about the tension of wanting something to happen and wanting time to slow down,” she said. Though the song has a hint of romance to it, the look Denvre evokes as an artist is not. “It was important to me to keep her look true to who she is – laid-back but interesting to look at,” explained Rebecca Alaniz, her stylist. “This isn’t Gossip Girl.” Watch Denvre's music video below.
