Jessica Wang of NotJessFashion.com has the perfect recipe for a kid-friendly holiday: cozy family gatherings, lots of sparkle, and a few adult-only outings. See what she's up to this season.

What are you looking forward to this holiday season?

One of the things I am looking forward to most is a fully furnished home. We moved into our home about a year ago and picking out the right furniture and decor has been challenging to say the least. I'm excited that's it's finally coming together. I'm also looking forward to hosting holiday get-togethers with friends and family as well as spending lots of quality time with the kids.

What are your holiday plans?

I'm mostly planning to take time off to relax and unwind, but I will be traveling to Paris and eastern France for a week over the holidays.

What gift are you most excited to give this holiday?

It's so easy to go to a major retailer and purchase something that's widely available, so I'm constantly looking for ways to find thoughtful and unique gifts. Lately, I have been into antique shopping and scouting vintage goods, so I'm most excited about gifting a specialty vintage find. I'm such a sucker for one-of-a-kind gifts that can't be found elsewhere.

How do you keep adults and children happy during the holidays?

This is always the hardest part of the holiday season, but I think it's all about balance. I do try to spend quality time with my kids, but I also schedule date nights or girls' night out in between. We often have to shift back and forth. However, finding activities that both adults and children will enjoy are also a great way to keep everyone in a good mood. Activities like Christmas tree shopping, baking, or decorating  the tree together are some of my favorites.

When it’s time to leave the kids at home, what is your go to holiday party look?

My go-to holiday party look is all about making a statement, so I love bold colors, sequin, and metallic fabrics. However, if I want to keep it low key, I'll go with a classic LBD or velvet dress.
