This authentic Louis Vuitton Alma is rendered in the house's signature coated Monogram canvas which has long been a quintessential house staple. First introduced in the year 1896 by Georges Vuitton, the print was created to stop counterfeiters from copying the brands designs. The repeated pattern is made up of interlocking L and V initials in a serif font, and flowers inspired by Japanese and Oriental designs. The Alma is considered one of the most ladylike and structured of Louis Vuitton's handbag silhouettes. The bag was named after the Pont de l'Alma (Alma Bridge) on the River Seine in Paris.
